Everybody knows that Gucci is at the head of the throne of the luxury-fashion world for both men and women. Gucci is both classical and modern at the same time and is beloved by people of all ages. Since I first laid my eyes on a pair of Gucci loafers I knew that that was the type of timeless style that I want to model my look after. Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour the Gucci Gardens, located in the center of Florence. If you don’t know what the gardens are, it is a museum dedicated to the iconic history of the Gucci brand, which started in Italy.

It seems only fitting that Gucci showcase how their style has both changed and remained the same through the years. There are of course styles that are unique to Gucci such as the double-G and the tiger face; however, the companies style has changed drastically through the years as there has been a great deal of social change that Gucci has proudly incorporated into their products. Recently, Gucci started embroidering the slogan “Blind For Love”, a term that Gucci uses to express acceptance of all types of love. The exhibit was made the be inclusive of people from all different backgrounds and cultures, which the brand seems to be very good at doing.
I call my walk through the Gucci Gardens magical because that is what it was. I felt a sense of euphoria while walking through this exhibit, looking at clothes that were designed with movie stars in mind. I was taken aback by the beauty of the clothes, purses, shoes and accessories. The quality of the material and the attention to detail were something that I will never stop thinking about. The tour ended and I arrived in the gift shop. Much to my despair, I am a study abroad student who is slowly but surely going broke and has no business contemplating purchasing such items. But let me tell you… I would have bought everything in that gift shop if I had the means. If you had the opportunity to say you went to the Gucci Gardens, would you? I know I don’t regret it! Gucci is forever on my mind… xoxo
